A word from our Deputy Director We had plenty unforgettable spending time with our patrons through programs such as knitting, jazz concerts, line dancing, haunted house, Jr. Cooks and Books, senior outreach, digital literacy classes, and much more. As we step forward into 2024, we will be expanding the services, resources, programs, and digital literacy that our patrons have come to love. The East Cleveland Public Library staff is dedicated to providing our community with outstanding services. We aim to provide high-quality educational programs, technological resources, senior outreach services, and digital literacy. We continue to offer our patrons access to hardware, software, printing, wireless internet, safe spaces, and a clean, welcoming facility. The East Cleveland Public Library has filled the informational gap by implementing a vast array of services and electronic resources we have provided our patrons for years. We strive to provide inclusive and equitable access to our spaces, resources, services, programs, and facilities. As we look forward to 2024, our goals are to expand on the services that have been successful and implement new ones. This will include streaming services, digital services, 3D printing, STEM programs, digital labs, podcasting, gardening, cooking programs, senior and school outreach services, a new website, and so much more. We here at ECPL hope you attend one or all of our programs, whether in the children’s department or seniors; we have programs for all ages. We would like you to continue utilizing our library as your place for learning, reading, researching, community connectivity, personal growth, and interacting with your neighbors. We hope you will visit our library often to take full advantage of all we have available. It all starts with a library card. So visit us and see how the library can open new possibilities for you. You can find us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. As Deputy Director, I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Looking forward to seeing you in 2024! “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” - Dr. Seuss “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela Happy holidays, East Clevelanders and surrounding communities: Where did the time go??? It is hard to believe that 2023 is ending. Let us remember all the excellent, successful programs and services we provided for our East Cleveland residents and the surrounding communities.
